Fashion Etiquette

While I was surfing the net I came across an article addressing whether it was appropriate or not for first ladies Michelle Obama and Carli Bruni to wear white dresses to the D-Day anniversary event this weekend in France.





IMO, it is an antique thought that certain colored garments should not be worn during ceremonies surrounding death. Just because it's a funeral or anniversary of a tragedy, you have to wear black or somber tones? How antiquated!

I hate...

Yes, "hate" is a strong word but if you don't have a strong point of view, you have nothing.

With that said I hate this Balmain Jacket:

I must say it doesn't look half bad in this picture but the more I see celebrities sporting this jacket in it's multiple variations, the more my head hurts. I love structure! Don't get me wrong on that, I just hate the look of shoulder pads. I have since I was a little girl and some things never change...

I mean, is it just me??

A Black Halo Dress

Their dresses are so feminine and flirty. I've noticed that they've become a favorite staple on the show The Game. And rightfully so!

2 months and counting

I'm back! I won't eve go into why I have been neglecting this blog but instead I will jump right back into it. 4 words:

Louis Vuitton Spicy Sandles

Retailing at upwards from 2g's I must admit that I hated these sandles at first, but the more I see celebs out there sporting them, the deeper I fall for them. So many people are wearing these sandles, in frigid weather I might add, that they must be the best thing since sliced bread!

They are so versatile! Sigh... I want these.

The First Lady Covers Vogue Mag

I just got word that at the end of this month, Michelle will become the second First Lady to grace the cover of Vogue. Here's her shot, captured by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz:

I must say, I'm not impressed by this cover. As fabulous as Michelle is, I think this could have been ten times better. I'm definitely glad to see her in Vogue though.

JHud at the Super Bowl

Jennifer Hudson looked surprisingly cute while singing tonight's national anthem at the Super Bowl.



I really love that jacket she has on. If anyone knows the designer, let me know! I do have one issue with her outfit however: leggings are not pants! I repeat, leggings are not pants! Especially when you are knock-knee'd. That is one trend I wish would die in 2009.
